Every team member has one role. The role applies to all the team’s workspaces, except for Viewers, who only see the workspaces assigned to them. Owners and Managers assign roles in Members.

Choose a role

Owners and Managers of a parent team keep their role in its Virtual Teams without a separate invitation. The product can grant additional access to administrator accounts outside the team-role hierarchy.

Team

Only the Owner can invite someone as a Manager or promote them to Manager. Managers can assign Member and Viewer roles. Members and Viewers do not see Team Management. Under Integrations, in the sidebar of the Workspaces page, they only see MCP Server, where each person creates a personal token. MCP access depends on the team’s plan and enabled features.

What Members should know

Members see every workspace in the team with the same analysis pages as a Manager, without the configuration controls. Workspace Settings, Team Management, the credit balance, and the monitoring status do not appear in their sidebar. Members can open Exports from the export notification or the export-ready email. From there, the settings sidebar also gives them access to Shared Links and Lists. Members do not consume team credits: every action that costs credits is reserved for Owners and Managers.
  • Exports run in the background. When the file is ready, you receive an email, unless your team sends export notifications to an outbound webhook. View exports opens the list of exports.
  • Shared links can be opened by anyone who has the URL, without signing in. Members can create them, but only Owners and Managers can change their expiration or revoke them.
  • Saved lists are shared with everyone who works on the workspace.
  • Brand attributes define the positioning that later Perception analyses measure, for the whole team.
  • AI Assistant conversations are private. A personal MCP token gives read access to the same data from an external AI assistant.

Good practices for Members

Share these points when you invite a Member or change a Viewer into a Member.

Do

  • Check the workspace, period, and filters before you create a shared link or an export.
  • Set a link expiration, and lock the filters when the recipient needs a fixed view.
  • Send links and exports only to people and tools approved by your organization.
  • Ask an Owner or Manager to revoke a shared link that is no longer needed.
  • Give saved lists a clear name.
  • Verify an AI Assistant answer on the matching dashboard page before you act on it.
  • Send requests to change prompts, competitors, models, or monitoring to an Owner or Manager.

Avoid

  • Sharing your account or your MCP token. Each person needs their own invitation, and you can revoke a token that may have been exposed.
  • Changing brand attributes without agreeing on them with the team.
  • Using an unlocked shared link as a fixed report: visitors can change its filters.
