ChatGPT now displays sponsored placements directly within AI-generated answers. Qwairy automatically detects these ads and tracks which advertisers appear, what products they promote, and which of your monitored prompts trigger them. It helps you understand:
  • Which advertisers buy placements on prompts related to your brand or industry
  • What products are promoted through sponsored AI placements
  • Which of your monitored prompts trigger ads
  • Whether your competitors are advertising in AI responses
  • How sponsored content evolves over time across your keyword space

What Sponsored Content Tracks

Whenever ChatGPT displays a sponsored placement in a response, Qwairy automatically extracts:
  • The advertiser name and logo
  • The product name being promoted
  • The product description and image (when available)
  • The position of the ad within the response
  • The AI provider (currently ChatGPT)
  • The prompt that triggered the sponsored placement
  • Competitor matching: if the advertiser is one of your tracked competitors, it’s flagged with a relationship badge

Purpose of Sponsored Content

Sponsored Content helps you answer:

1. Who advertises on my industry keywords in AI?

See which companies pay for placements in AI responses to prompts related to your brand, products, or industry.

2. Are my competitors running ads in AI responses?

Advertisers are automatically matched against your competitor list. Relationship badges (self, direct, indirect) appear on advertiser logos.

3. Which prompts attract the most advertising?

Identify which of your monitored prompts trigger sponsored placements, helping you understand commercial intent in your keyword space.

4. What products are being promoted?

Track the full catalog of advertised products with names, descriptions, and images.

Navigating Sponsored Content

From the main navigation:
Monitor > Insights > Sponsored Content
The page includes four tabs:

Overview

Summary statistics (total ads, unique advertisers, prompts with ads, products advertised), a timeline chart, top advertisers ranking, provider breakdown, and recent sponsored placements.

Advertisers

Sortable table of all detected advertisers with appearance count, number of products, prompts triggered, and AI providers. Click an advertiser to expand and see their products. Competitor relationship badges are displayed on logos.

Products

Sortable table of all advertised products with product image, advertiser, appearance count, prompts, providers, and last seen date.

Prompts

Sortable table of prompts that triggered sponsored placements, with advertiser logos, ad count, providers, and last seen. Click any prompt to open its detail sheet.

Sponsored Content Across the Dashboard

Sponsored content insights are integrated throughout Qwairy:
  • Prompt and Response details: a red Megaphone badge appears on prompts and responses that contain sponsored content, and items appear in the Insights tab
  • Competitors page: insight badges show which competitors have associated shopping, local, or sponsored content
  • Competitor detail: dedicated Shopping, Local, and Sponsored tabs show counts of linked entities
  • Filters: filter prompts and responses by “Sponsored content” in the insights dropdown

GET /api/v1/brands/{brandId}/sponsored
Query parameters: period, startDate, endDate, provider, advertiser, limit, offset, sort, order

MCP Tool

get_sponsored_content(brandId, period?, limit?)
Returns summary stats, top advertisers with competitor flags, and recent ads with prompt context.
