⚙️ How Content Studio Works
Content Studio organizes the workflow into 5 key steps.1) Starting Point
Choose how you want to begin your brief.- From Topics — build from your monitored topics and their sources (shows how many prompts are available).
- Outrank Competitor — target a specific competitor page and generate superior content.
- From Citation Source — expand content from a site that mentions you (paste the exact URL).
- Select the source domain from your mentions.
- Paste the exact page URL you want to expand.
- Click Next.
- Blank Canvas — start freely without preloaded signals.
Tip: If your goal is to win an existing SERP or AI answer, use Outrank Competitor or From Citation Source. If you’re building authority around a theme, choose From Topics.
2) Article Setup — Choose Your Article Type
Pick a template with pre-configured length and structure:- Informational (≈ 1,800–2,100 words)
- Comparison (≈ 2,500–3,000 words)
- How To (≈ 1,800–2,100 words)
- Listicle (≈ 1,300–1,500 words)
- Review (≈ 1,600–1,800 words)
- Case Study (≈ 1,900–2,100 words)
- News (≈ 1,000–1,200 words)
- Opinion (≈ 1,300–1,500 words)
- Or start from scratch
3) Features — Fine-Tune Your Structure
Toggle extra elements to include in the article:- Include TL;DR summary — quick executive overview at the top.
- Include FAQ section — Q&A block built from real user prompts.
- Require brand mention — ensure your brand is represented in key sections.
- Enhance with Perplexity Search — optional research pass to broaden citations.
Tip: For GEO, TL;DR + FAQ + Require brand mention is a strong default.
4) Title — Pick or Regenerate
Content Studio proposes multiple AI-generated titles. You can:- Select the recommended title
- Click to edit inline
- Regenerate for new options
Tip: Choose a title that clearly signals intent (audience + benefit + qualifier), e.g., “Top Budget Running Shoes to Maximize Your Performance.”
5) Outline — Generate and Edit
Content Studio first generates a Content Outline:- H1 (title), H2 sections, and H3 sub-sections
- Drag to reorder sections
- Add new sections with Add Section
- Click any heading to edit text; press Save
6) Content — Generate the Full Draft
After the outline is approved:- Click Generate to create the full Article Content (Markdown)
- Sections follow your outline and selected features
- Regenerate or refine blocks as needed (tone, length, specificity)
Tip: Ask the AI to tighten intros, add product criteria tables, or expand FAQs with examples.
