# Connect Qwairy to ChatGPT

> Yes, on ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, and Edu. Add Qwairy as a custom MCP server with OAuth in ChatGPT on the web, using https://mcp.qwairy.co.

Qwairy works in ChatGPT as a custom MCP server on ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, and Edu. You add it from ChatGPT on the web, sign in with OAuth, and ask ChatGPT questions about your brands. The connection is read-only.

## Before you start

* Access to a Qwairy team on a **Starter plan or higher**. You can connect before monitoring has run. Queries return data once a live brand has generated responses.
* A **ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, or Edu** workspace. Custom MCP servers are available in ChatGPT on the web.
* Permission to add custom MCP servers. On ChatGPT Business, only workspace owners and administrators can create and publish it. On Enterprise and Edu, an administrator can also grant members permission to create it.

## Connect Qwairy to ChatGPT

**1. Open the custom MCP server form**

In ChatGPT on the web, open **Plugins**, click **+**, and choose **Add custom MCP server**.

Some workspaces still show the earlier path: **Workspace settings > Apps > Create**, with developer mode enabled. The fields below are the same.

**2. Enter the server details**

Enter a name and the server URL:

| Field | Value |
| - | - |
| Name | `Qwairy` |
| MCP server URL | `https://mcp.qwairy.co` |

Use this exact URL, without appending `/mcp`.

**3. Choose OAuth**

Select OAuth as the authentication method. Read and accept the warning ChatGPT shows for custom MCP servers.

**4. Create the plugin and authorize**

Click **Create as a plugin**. When ChatGPT opens the Qwairy sign-in, sign in with the Qwairy account that has access to your brands, review the requested access, and approve it.

**5. Make it available to your workspace**

If you are a workspace owner or administrator, publish the plugin so other members can use it. Members connect with their own Qwairy account.

## Check that the connection works

Start a new chat, make sure Qwairy is enabled for it, and send:

```text theme={null}
Use Qwairy to list the brands I can access.
```

ChatGPT should call Qwairy's `list_brands` tool and display the accessible brands. Approve the tool call if ChatGPT asks. A general answer about Qwairy without a tool call does not confirm the connection.

## Troubleshooting

### ChatGPT does not show Add custom MCP server

Custom MCP servers need a Business, Enterprise, or Edu workspace and are set up in ChatGPT on the web, not in the mobile apps. On Business, ask a workspace owner or administrator to add and publish Qwairy. On Enterprise and Edu, you can also ask for permission to create it. If you see the earlier path, use **Workspace settings > Apps > Create** and check that developer mode is enabled.

### Qwairy is created, but ChatGPT does not use it

Enable Qwairy in the chat's tools or plugins menu, then send the verification message again. Creating the plugin and enabling it in a chat are separate steps.

### Other members cannot see Qwairy

A workspace owner or administrator may need to publish the plugin before other members can use it.

### Authorization fails

Sign in with the Qwairy account that has access to your brands, and check that its team is on a Starter plan or higher. If the problem persists, remove the plugin, create it again, and authorize with the correct account. See [general troubleshooting](/mcp/getting-started.md#troubleshooting).
