# Local Businesses

> Track how AI platforms recommend local businesses in your industry

Local Businesses monitors how AI platforms recommend local businesses. Voice assistants and chatbots handle millions of local queries daily — from "best restaurant near me" to "plumber open now". Track your local visibility and identify listing gaps.

## What Local Businesses Tracks

Whenever an AI model recommends a local business in a response — example:
*"For the best coffee in Paris, try Café de Flore on Boulevard Saint-Germain..."*

Qwairy automatically extracts:

* The **business name**
* **Address** and location information
* **Category** (restaurant, plumber, hotel, etc.)
* **Rating** and reviews (when provided by the AI)
* The **AI provider** (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc.)
* The **prompts** that triggered this recommendation

This gives you a full view of which local businesses AI platforms recommend in your industry.

## Navigating Local Businesses

From the main navigation:
**Monitor > Insights > Local Businesses**

### Business Cards

Each local business shows:

| Element           | Description                                      |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------ |
| **Business Name** | Name as it appears in AI responses               |
| **Address**       | Full location information                        |
| **Category**      | Business type (restaurant, hotel, service, etc.) |
| **Rating**        | Customer rating if available                     |
| **Mentions**      | Number of times recommended                      |
| **Providers**     | AI models recommending this business             |
| **Prompts**       | Queries that triggered this recommendation       |

### Filtering Options

| Filter              | Description                                |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| **Search Prompts**  | Filter by prompt text                      |
| **Search Business** | Filter by business name                    |
| **Provider**        | Filter by AI model (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) |
| **Topic**           | Filter by topic                            |

Active filters appear as badges below the filter bar. Click the X to clear all filters.

## Opportunities

Local queries where competitors are recommended but your business is not are surfaced in two places, rather than on a separate tab:

* An **Opportunities** KPI card at the top of the page counts the high-priority gaps detected.
* A **priority filter** dropdown (All priorities, Opportunities, Very High, High, Medium, Low) lets you narrow the table down to just the queries where you're missing.

Each opportunity row shows the prompt that triggered the local recommendations, its priority level, the competitor businesses appearing in the response, and the AI providers generating it. Click a row to view the full prompt detail and plan your response.

## Pagination

20 businesses are shown per page. Use the previous/next controls to move between pages.
